Want to include tennis as part of your PE curriculum but do not have any tennis courts at your school? No problem! You can utilize any large, flat space to create temporary tennis courts for your class quickly, safely and easily using portable pop-up tennis nets and throw-down lines. Tennis can be played anywhere, such as blacktops, gym floors, multi-purpose rooms and even on school fields.
The USTA offers many resources to teachers, schools and school districts interested in providing tennis as part of their PE curriculum:

- Free tennis training sessions/in-service days for teachers conducted by USTA trained staff
- Deep discounts on equipment, including racquets, balls and pop-up tennis nets
- Tennis and Fitness Station Cards for use in class
- Equipment grants for qualifying institutions
In addition to being easy and fun to teach, learn and play, tennis also offers many other benefits to kids. In general, kids across all socioeconomic levels who participate in tennis spend more time studying; they get better grades and have lower levels of problem behaviors than their peers who do not play.
